On the 10th June 1967, LMS 4-6-0 Jubilee Class No.45562 'Alberta' hauled the Ashington rail tour onto the Blyth & Tyne network.
The train left Huddersfield at 8.28 that morning, traveling via York and the Leamside line before taking the sharp curve through Percy main (B & T) station to run up to Ashington. Here the passengers traveled over the NCB network.
Both photos were taken by the Coast Road bridge.
