We are thrilled to announce that LNER J27 No.65894 will be visiting us for our 30th Anniversary Gala on 9th to 11th July 2021!
Our terminus in Percy Main used to be a regular stomping ground for J27s, with Percy Main shed almost exclusively filled with these locomotives up until the closure of the depot. This fantastic locomotive will be an excellent way for us to celebrate the railway's 30th Anniversary, but also re-create some particularly important history in the area.
65894 is visiting the NTSR courtesy of the North Eastern Locomotive Preservation Group (NELPG) and the North Yorkshire Moors Railway (NYMR).
