Recent work on the brake coach

Steady progress has continued over the past couple of weeks on the overhaul of our Brake Coach No.E43172

After cutting the rotten section of the crash pillar/stanchion, work started on the gusset whilst there was some extra room

Cutting box section down to size to make new gusset bottoms, the next few photos show their backs being cut off, turned around, and welded back on

Over on the north end Michael makes a start re-fitting the butterfly valve and other electrical connections

Norman has made excellent painting progress with the second topcoat going on on the east side of the carriage
