| Work continuing on 401 today, here the boiler barrel belly plate (L) and the dome cover (R) have been given a coat of protective black paint after being cleaned up |

| Dismantling of the lubricator for cleaning, inspection and eventual sanding down...the valves on the left have been removed from the side of the lubricator (5 each side), these are spring operated valves operated by cams in the lubricator, as the lubricators motion arm is operated the cams attached to it operates these valves which pump oil into the oil lines |

| The lid and its sieve also dismantled and cleaned, the lubricator itself has been left to drain out any remaining oil |
