Work on 401

The whistle isolation valve on 401s manifold was reported to be passing at the weekend. The valve, pictured above, was removed, cleaned up and given a new annealed copper washer and PTFE tape before re-fitting

The valve body, on the back of the manifold after removal of the valve itself.

Additional work on 401 this week, which unfortunately we have no photos of, has included re-packing the vacuum ejector manifold valve which was also passing. As well as fettling the mechanical lubricators oil pipe that feeds the RHS cylinder, this pipe was actually loose on its connection to the cylinder and passing the copper olive and barely feeding the cylinder any oil
