Cosmetic work on 401

Today saw the beginning of some minor winter maintenance work on 401 before the loco goes into service on Santa Specials. Here, Carl is sanding down the LHS bunker side of filler that was applied during a repair earlier this year

With it filed flat he then applies black paint. Once that has dried new red lining can be applied

The bunker locker in the cab also had a clean out and a new coat of paint applied. More work on 401 to follow soon
