Over the last few weeks, 03078's buffer beams have undergone a bit of a makeover to return the locomotive to how it looked when it finished its career with British Rail.
Buffer beam after Norman had sanded it down and carried out spot priming where necessary - the buffer housings have already received an undercoat.

...before being fitted to the rear buffer beam. The buffer housings have already had an undercoat here too.
Rear buffer beam complete! The locomotive will debut in its revised livery at the railway's photographic evening on 25th May.
