| It was planned into 401s boiler washout to modify the blowdown valve handle to make it easier for crews to operate. As can be seen in this photo, upon trying to remove the nut for the crank arm to be removed, the valve spindle sheared...so the valve was removed from the boiler and dismantled. Then it was off to the lathe... |
