Making Bolts for No.69
Michael has been spending some time on the lathe over the past week producing various sized bolts for the reverser, front and back buffer beam, and buffer housings. The number required is quite extensive, no doubt more will be needed to be made for other components in the future.
The list of bolts to be made.
Turning the hex bar down to the major diameter.
Cutting the whitworth thread.
A completed set of bolts for the reverser. 3/4" BSW.
Omar has also cleaned up all of the brake block hangers for George to continue boring out the old bushes to be replaced with new ones.
George watches carefully over the boring of the old bushes, ensuring no material is cut from the brake block hanger itself.
