Today we sadly said goodbye to one of the associations longest-serving members, Ken Hedly. Ken started his railway career with the LNER back in November 1945 and progressed through the ranks with BR to become a Traction Inspector before retiring in 1990. Ken spent a lot of his retirement volunteering as a Driver/Inspector at NTSR as well as a driver at the NYMR. He passed a lot of his knowledge, and inspiration, to our younger members which we will always be grateful for.
