Metro cab dismantling

With the last operating day of the 2022 running season done and the museum now closed till Christmas, work has begun on dismantling the mock up Metro cab ready for it to be collected tomorrow, to go into storage

Our mini End of Season gala is this Sunday. But we are also running trains on Thursday 27th & Sunday 30th.

End of Season Running Day 23rd Oct

Our End of Season Running Day is this Sunday (23rd October).

We'll be running both passenger and freight trains with steam and diesel.

There'll be shunting demonstrations in the yard at Middle Engine Lane.

The mock-up Metro cab of the new class 555 metros will be open for guided talks.

Anyone who would like to, can join any train at Percy Main and buy a ticket once they arrive back to Middle Engine Lane.

Our Waggonway Tearoom will be open for refreshments and food.
