Marsh Volunteers Award
On Monday 14th November, members of the association were delighted to collect the Marsh Volunteers Award for Museum Learning (in the North East of England) at the British Museum
"I am incredibly proud of the North Tyneside Steam Railway Association for winning this award and very grateful to those who nominated us. Our 30th Anniversary Gala was a very popular event and something we still reflect on as being one of the biggest successes in the history of the NTSRA. For such a small railway, it helped ‘put us back on the map’ and show off what we’ve got and what we can do. We’re all looking forward to do more events similar to the 30th Anniversary Gala again in the future." - Stephen Thornton, Chairman.

Remembrance Day
The eleventh day of the eleventh month the NTSRA remember those men and women who made great sacrifices or gave their lives in war. Listed here are the men of Percy Main who lost their lives - many of them worked on the railway, collieries or at the coal staiths. Ordinary men from our area.

Ponteland branch throwback
A little Tuesday throwback.
Today part of the Ponteland branch is used by the Tyne & Wear Metro. It originally had a short operating life from 1905 til 1929!
