It is with regret that we have to announce a significant delay to the rebuild of 401. Due to multiple failings in the management of the project we are unfortunately now required to strip the engine down again, possibly to the point of lifting the boiler from the frames. The volunteers are understandably very frustrated and saddened by this, but we will persevere and we will endeavour to get 401 steaming again this year.
