401s boiler is now complete, with the new inner firebox and new tubes successfully installed, the boiler is still currently at the North Norfolk Railway where it will be undergoing a hydraulic test within the next week. The wheelsets are almost complete, currently at the South Devon Railway where the new tyres are now on and being turned.

| In the meantime, Norman has been working on the cosmetic side of the locomotive's frames, involving de-rusting and re-painting prior to the frames being put back on the wheelsets |
