| It was reported when 401 was last in steam that the LHS gauge glass drain cock wasn't shutting properly meaning the gauge glass drain was constantly open, even with the valve handle in the closed position. This was causing two different gauge glass readings as the gauge glass was constantly trying to drain. Pictured above is the spindle after removal alongside its new sleeve packing, this fits inside the valve body around the spindle |
